Why take a class?
Attending a class can be a springboard for development of new healthy habits. Weekly meetings help students develop skills and establish a routine with the guidance of experienced practitioners. It can also be powerful to learn and share about one’s experiences within a class setting. Although not a substitute for individual therapy or coaching, a mindfulness class can be a strong support to work with other professionals.

AMG in schools
The curriculum was designed to be offered within a classroom setting and has research support showing its effectiveness. The skills mindfulness classes teach fall under “social emotional learning” objectives, which are increasingly becoming an area of focus in education. More and more we are realizing the benefit of prevention and teaching young people the tools for healthy living early in life.
If you know of a school, teacher or homeschool network interested in having us offer a mindfulness class to students as part of the school curriculum or after school program, please contact us. We enjoy bringing mindfulness to students, particularly if the classroom teacher and/or parents plan to reinforce those skills throughout the week.
We are offering one class in Dunwoody on Monday afternoons to fit a homeschooling schedule.
